Developing your psychic abilities PART TWO
In the previous blog, I presented some simple ways to develop your psychic abilities. In this blog, we will take things a step further and discuss exercises you can do to strengthen your psychic abilities! Try these steps on for fun!
1. Seeing and remembering
Practice the exercise of looking closely at any scene, a store at a mall, people in the park, your bedroom. Look closely at details and colors, then close your eyes and take a visual photo of the scene, now see the photo in your mind and recount all the details that you can remember. Everywhere you go, try to take a detailed snapshot of what is going on and practicing remembering the snapshot.
2. See and imagine everything in every color
Look at the sky and picture it magenta, then green, then purple, then brown, go through as many colors as you can. Do the same for a stapler, or the television, or a croissant. Disassociate what your mind is programmed to see as what colors and force your mind to see outside of the color things normally are. Choose rich and vibrant colors to see objects in!
3. Practice seeing Aura’s
Look beyond people at face value, watch the energy around them, their outline. Focus on the head and the shoulders and what is emanating from them.
4. Use cards and dice
Practice calling dice before you throw them by concentrating on the number you want, don’t throw the dice until you feel that number. Record how many times you GET your number per session (usually for about 15 minutes at a time) use the same technique with a standard deck of cards. Look at the back of the card and picture what it might be, ask your spirit guides to guide you in the correct answer, see how many times you guess correctly and record your progress with each session.
5. Listening then writing – hearing the universe
Sit with a blank sheet of paper, and meditate for a bit. You can even have some inspiring music on, as you clear your mind, ask the Goddess for divine words and inspiration, listen for words, phrases, powerful ideas. As they come to you, start writing them down, even if you write with your eyes close, even if none of what you are writing makes sense. Track your progress in a notebook or in your book of shadows.
6.White light visions
Lie down or sit Indian style. Listen to transcendental music and start picturing a white light pouring onto you and the world. As the light rains down on everything, picture beautiful glittery sparkles in the midst of the light. Let the sparkles take shape, let the light dance in front of you and take different shapes. Soon you may see beings emerge and visions of events.
In addition, every Witch should practice some sort of divination, which is defined as “the art of using magickal tools and symbols to gather information from the Collective, Unconscious, on the nature of people, places, things, and events in the past, present and future.” There are 100s of mediums to choose from, these are just the basics. You will know what you are drawn to when you are more exposed to these different mediums of divination. Visit a new age shop and pick up, look through, touch, and sense vibrations from different tools, you will know what your source self is being drawn to, to learn.
