Color therapy when working with candle magick, PART TWO

Continued from previous blog... So you have your candle spell ready, you know what you desire, you are ready to help that desire manifest! Now, what candle, and what color of candle should you use? Here are some specifically shaped candles for more specific desires, but if your desires are more general, below is a key to choosing which color to use if you want to use a straight pillar, stick, or tealight candle. :) If you have the time to "dress" or "charge" your candles, I highly recommend it! You can inscribe words, sayings, or names into them, wrap them in ribbons or photos, and infuse them by rubbing particular corresponding oils on them for added aroma.

Shapely candles for specific workings: (can be purchased on 13moons.com)

-Double action candles (2 color candles at each end for dual purposes that coincide together)
-7 Day candles are often encased in glass and are tall and burned until complete
-Image candles in the shape of deities, women, men, genitalia, etc are for burning alone or pairing together
-Knob candles for 7 days of wishes, carve your wish into each knob for a daily burn and manifestation!
-Skull candle for removing, changing, or altering of specific thoughts
-Witch candles are to increase your own powers over your choices and circumstances
-Pyramid candles are for wealth, healing, knowledge, and storing energies

Here are color/vibration correspondences to consider when working with both color therapy and candle magic.

RED would you believe, has the longest wavelength of all colors, and is a very powerful color. It is warm, stimulating, and lively, generally represents excitement, and initiates the fight or flight response; at the same time it can be perceived as aggressive, defiant, and demanding.
FOR MAGIC: Courage and health, sexual love and lust

BLUE represents the intellectual side of us, it evokes communication, trust, calm, and intelligence, on the other hand it can also induce coldness and lack of emotion. Blue is still the world’s favorite color!
FOR MAGIC:  Health, patience, and understanding

YELLOW is the colors of emotion and is associated with optimism, confidence, self-esteem, creativity. On the flip side yellow can trigger anxiety, depression, and fear.
FOR MAGIC: Persuasion, ambition, and career success

GREEN is the color of universal love, environmental awareness, and harmony. It is in the center of the color spectrum so it is associated with balance. Boredom is greens biggest downfall emotion.
FOR MAGIC: Financial gain, abundance, fertility, grounding

PURPLE is the spiritual color, for vision, truth, quality, & openness. This color possesses the shortest wavelength. This color in contrast can also evoke superiority and introversion.
FOR MAGIC: Power, psychic awareness, opening the sixth sense

ORANGE is said to also be a stimulating color but to the level of comforts of both the emotional and the physical senses including food, warmth, security, and fun. The downside of too much orange is deprivation and frustration.
FOR MAGIC: Attraction and encouragement

PINK is another very powerful color, naturally the color of femininity, love, sexuality, romance, and nurture. It soothes rather than stimulates but too much pink can inhibit someone emotionally and cause emasculation.
FOR MAGIC: Friendship, sweet love

BLACK is all colors absorbed into one, and does many different tricks on the psyche! It is known for sophistication, security, efficiency, and creates protective barriers around you as it absorbs energy. Because it is a color with an absence of light and no wavelengths are reflected in it, it can be menacing for some and bring on a heaviness and fears.
FOR MAGIC: Negativity and banishment

WHITE is total reflection and reflects the full color spectrum into our eyes. It represents cleanness, simplicity, sterility, balance, and purity. The negative side to white as that it does lack a warmth at times and sterility can cause reclusive-ness and unfriendliness.
FOR MAGIC: Purity and truth, cleansing, balancing, purification.

BROWN is the earthy color which is a large percentage of black, red, and yellow, bringing on seriousness, nature, and reliability. Sometimes under brown we might forget our sense of humor!
FOR MAGIC: Earth-related or animal-related workings, health, life and death

Do what feels right, if you want to, assign your own color meanings to your workings, there aren't always rules to vibrations and how one perceives them. Listen to your gut, and your eye! ;)
~Many blessings, LS
