A witches POTIONS and how to create them!

A Witch’s potions become her personal and private concoctions for both potions for magickal uses AND for ingestible uses. Potions may come in the form of a tea, an alcoholic beverage, wine or sangria, or a juice drink, and as well, her magickal potions (non ingestible) can be combinations of oils and herbs among “other magickal” personal items like body fluids, blood, or ground finger nail clippings for use in spells. New potions are created every day by witches around the world, and traditional potion recipes are also handed down from generations. However if you don't have a fellow witch to hand you some ideas, we have some here for you! :) You can create your own potions from scratch, using anything you like, for almost any reason you like! Familiarizing yourself with the different edible herbs and oils, and ones that are not, and what each of their magickal and healing properties are, is helpful. Click here for a list of herbs and oils and their meanings. Once you learn their meanings, you can easily combine your own concoctions the way you see fit!
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INGEST HERBS AND OILS that are not edible!

For magical NON INGESTIBLE potions only, I like to create curios to be worn with potions inside of them. Start with gathering a few of your favorite herbs, and a mortar and pestle which is great to grind up dried herbs and plants, always have one on hand! I like to keep the following essential oils and herbs on hand to make my favorite magical potions: clove oil, orange oil, camphor oil, wintergreen oil, juniper oil, patchouli oil, and rose oil. These oils cover your basic spectrum of magical needs, as do these dried herbs: chamomile, blackberry leaf, dried rose petals, cedar chips, rosemary, sage, ginger, cinnamon, and lavender. You can also add personal items to concoctions. Sometimes I add cut outs of shapes or words, coins, charms, or stone gems. Here are some sample non ingestible magical recipes to place in cork bottles or sachets:

*Fast Money/Luck potion: Grind 1/4 of a teaspoon of blackberry leaf, 2 drops of patchouli oil, 2 drops of wintergreen, and a coin. Place in a mini satchel and carry with you!
*Attract love potion: Grind 1 dried rose petal, add 2 drops of rose oil, place in mini cork jar and wear around your neck.
*Healing a friendship: Grind 1/2 teaspoon of dried chamomile, 2 drops of camphor oil, and 2 drops of rose oil, and a small photo of the friend. Place into satchel and wear near your heart

You get the idea! The best concoctions are the ones created BY you, specifically FOR you and your intention. Here is a sample of a drinkable love potion tea for instance for you and/or your future lover to ingest: (make sure you or loved ones do NOT have any allergies to any potions ingredients you prepare)

What you will need:
1. A silver spoon
2. 1 cup of boiling water
3. 4 organic/edible rose petals, ground or whole (not from a flower shop or grocery store, edible flowers must be specifically grown without pesticides or chemicals) YOU CAN PURCHASE

EDIBLE FLOWERS HERE:  http://www.marxfoods.com/products/Edible-Fresh-Flowers
4. 2 tablespoons of honey
5. A sprinkle of cinnamon
6. A sprinkle of nutmeg
7. 1 slice of a red apple, diced finely
8. A pink candle

Instructions: Light the pink candle and set your intention on the love you seek as you watch the water begin to boil. Slowly add all ingredients EXCEPT the honey and stir clockwise while you say 3 times out loud:

Bring fourth the love I seek,
As I radiantly smile from cheek to cheek,
I ask that my soul mate shall I find,
And in true love we shall bind,
Together as one my love is here,
Forever this love the Goddess shall  hear.

Add 2 tablespoons of organic honey and serve, with LOVE!

May your potions be created WITH and for LOVE! ~Many blessings, Lady Shadowe :)
