Dealing with a political divide and applying Wicca to your peace of mind...

As we all know, we have had a drastic change in our political regime here in the United States. According to the polls, more than half of us are disappointed in the outcome. So how do we apply magic and higher thinking to something that deeply divides us and affects us on a personal level and on a daily basis? Despite the majority not being happy about the outcome, they were the second group, another majority WHICH IS happy about the outcome. And since truth is subjective and personal to every one of us, trying to bring people together to understand the importance of either side is sometimes very difficult... when reality for one person is a completely different reality for another person, and when we hold onto our emotions about something so powerful, sometimes it's impossible to even comprehend where the other side is coming from. Even I have been in the midst of my own political turmoil and aside from being as proactive as I can to incite what I think is the best change for this country, someone else's idea of change comes along and has to be either understood, ignored, or aided in as well. Who's side takes precedence? Well, both sides win and both sides lose, however, this is where our spiritual path comes into play... It's the whole reason that we came to learn the craft in the first place correct? In order to balance our lives so that when the events of the world and when the politicians in charge are in disagreement with our own vibrations, instead of creating more discord in our personal lives, we must find a way to heal it and to be at peace. (By no means do I mean healing and peace to mean surrender or to give up on the ethics and morals that you find important to fight for.) But for us to live in a state of anger and non-action is also not only paralyzing, but unproductive and energetically unsatisfying and eventually the stress and frustration will spill over into other parts of our lives. What I do is start in my own home, heart, and head. I gather peaceful strength within me, seeking to clarify my truth about how I need to live my life and how to create an example for others. Once I have reached the intentions of how I want to feel and how I want my world to look, I speak with and connect with others who are on the same level with intentions. We open a conversation about how we can stand together and create change and not just in my own home, but in our communities, and then the world. Ask yourselves, what is the greatest good for the most people? This is what we all should be asking ourselves and asking OF our leaders. For instance, MORE, short-term profits for a small handful of already abundantly wealthy people should not come at the expense of poisoning our mother earth, or stealing from someone who has much less than. Remember Wicca is about peace and healing and stepping in for others when they can't do it for themselves, and for the greater good of themselves and for the rest of us. This change of leadership requires vigilance and action, a spiritual awakening in our fellow brothers and sisters that we haven't seen before in a long time. It is important that we stand for whatever fight we believe is best for us but just remember to ask yourself, who gains and who profits from the upcoming rule changes and executive orders? Don't just be a sheep, be a shepherd, a leader, someone who questions what they hear and read and critically thinks about what's really going on in this country and on our planet. Start by going inward and connecting with the source, our Goddess earth, mother nature, listen to the stillness within us as we retrieve the answers. When your heart feels at peace or a yearning to follow a new direction to help facilitate change, listen, and act. This world needs wayseers, lovers of humanity, lovers of animals, lovers of the air we breathe, and lovers of our precious earth. Now that we are awake let's speak up and use our voice for positive for the love, the highest vibration in the universe! Get out and take part in a fight for what's right, small or BIG. Every energetic effort counts to keep this world safe, clean, and beautiful for this and many generations to come.
